New treatment in PTSD?

Exciting news. Dexmedetomidine is being developed as an oral medication for PTSD, with a small pilot study out: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/39152094/

Dexmedetomidine is similar to clonidine (α2-adrenergic agonist); currently used as IV for surgical sedation. 

Clonidine, by the way, reduces nightmares.
